Our approach

A young girl with curly hair wearing an orange sweater intently writing with a pencil in a classroom.

Creative

Fostering students’ natural curiosity and creativity is essential.

Younger students build on their vocabulary and grammar skills through enjoyable creative writing and perspective-taking exercises that stimulate their imagination.

Older students delve deep into some of the most fascinating texts of English-language literature.

Collaborative

Group work is one of the crucial pillars of our pedagogical approach. Students are encouraged to actively participate in their own learning through regular collaborative work.

Small groups of up to six students facilitate collaborative projects, peer-to-peer learning, and oral expression, while in-presence workshops held throughout the year encourage group cohesion.

A young woman with headphones around her neck is writing in a notebook while sitting at a desk with a laptop in front of her.

Effective

Shorter workshop sessions interspersed throughout the week facilitate and encourage effective learning.

Students enjoy learning in a positive environment while being challenged by an academically-rigorous curriculum.

Teachers provide regular feedback and students must hand in one (individual or group) assignment a week.

Younger students receive a certificate of achievement at the end of each school year, while at the end of seconde, students can sit internationally-recognised examinations such as the IGCSEs (First Language English and English Literature) at one of our school’s campuses.

The Teachers’ Take

"The Online English Programme provides advanced bilingual learners with a stimulating environment where they can refine both accuracy and authentic communication skills.

I particularly value how it encourages critical thinking, confidence, and nuanced language use beyond traditional classroom learning.

It is a rewarding experience to see students grow into more independent, articulate English users."

— Sadie MARVELL | Teacher & Pedagogical Coordinator at JMAcademy

"The program is flexible, interactive, and personalised, allowing students to work at their own pace while still receiving focused, individualised feedback.

I recognise that an advanced student has made progress when they begin to self-correct, ask more precise questions about language choices, and express their ideas with greater clarity and confidence, without overthinking.

Another key indicator of progress is when students adapt their language naturally to suit different audiences or purposes.

This shift reflects not only improved accuracy, but also a deeper understanding of how English functions in real-life communication."

— Kiran KAUR CABARET | Teacher at JMAcademy
