Summer & Science Camps

A fun and immersive English Day Camp
Our annual Summer Camp welcomes children ages 5 to 12 from around the world to take part in a wide variety of activities in English, making our Day Camp a fun and immersive learning experience.
For two weeks, children dive into a world of creativity—whether they're staging a show, launching a science experiment, or exploring new artistic mediums. Our focus is on learning together, ensuring every child has the space to grow and shine.
Each summer follows a captivating storyline that brings our activities to life. We’ve explored everything from outer space and deep-sea mysteries to mythology, ecology, food, the Olympics, and the age of the dinosaurs!
Juniors
5 to 7 year olds
The Juniors Day Camp is for children aged 5-7 years old. Activities include Art, Theater, Music and Sports. Children rotate through different activities throughout the day and prepare a show for the end of their summer session.
The children are in age groups, with a limit of 12 per group as they are of an age that requires more attention.
Campers
8 to 9 year olds
The Campers Day Camp is for children aged 8-9 years old. Activities include Art, Sports, Theater & Music, Fun Science & Makers Lab. Children rotate through different activities throughout the day and prepare a show for the end of their summer session.
The variety of the different activities allows each child to find a domain where he is happy to express himself and participate. The children are in small groups by age.
Scientists
10 to 12 year olds
The Scientists Day Camp is for children ages 10-12. Activities include Sports, Coding & Robotics, Makers' Lab and Fun Science.
In addition to three scientific STEM activities, our young scientists also do sports and music. They participate with a song in the show at the end of the summer session and a Science Fair allows them to show off their scientific creativity.
The Teacher’s Take
"The activities are intriguing and full of possibilities, English learners of all levels are able to function at whatever level they are at. And the many different students mean the environment provides many encouraging models of English use. No judgement about English level, just active use of English throughout the day in a fun, social environment.
Science gives us one of the best concrete laboratories where visible and physical actions correspond with new language. Familiar objects and situations that students know in their mother tongue provide easy "hooks" for the new language to attach to."
Even the most shy or beginner students are encouraged to participate and above all: we put our hands on materials!”
— Karen KYKER | Teacher at JMAcademy
The staff
The activities are all run by mother tongue English speakers.
All of the Summer camp teachers are Anglo-Saxon and teachers at Ecole Jeannine Manuel or its Afterschool program. They have to fulfill the same requirements with regards to diplomas, visa and criminal record as any teacher employed by the school.
The Counselors are university students and generally Ecole Jeannine Manuel alumni. Each group of children has its counselor who goes from activity to activity with them and remain their reference person throughout their time at Summer Camp .
